The World Health Organization of the U.N. lists over 40 symptoms that acupuncture has been shown to be effective in treating.
Does Acupuncture Hurt? Acupuncture is most often described as virtually painless or far less painful than plucking out a hair. The sensations that follow range from nothing at all to mild tingling or a slight numbness. These sensations subside once the needles are removed. The needles used for acupuncture are significantly smaller than the standard hypodermic needle, do not draw blood and are solid, not hollow.
What About the Needles? Acupuncture needles are very thin - about the thickness of a human hair. The finest quality stainless steel, disposable, pre-sterilized needles are used. These needles are FDA approved, used one time during your appointment and disposed.
What are the Benefits of Acupuncture? The benefits of acupuncture are far-reaching.
